Our programmes have real impact and are informative and experiential in nature. We use real case studies, the latest research, and examples from children’s services and the wider world of business to bring our programmes alive. All of our trainers have real and current experience of working across a range of children’s services.

“A huge thank you for all your guidance, support and above all else patience and understanding. You and colleagues have helped to move us forward significantly.”   Multi-agency workforce development manager, Knowsley

Highly effective training

An independent evaluation of our training reported that Waves programmes had “significant and sustained impact” and that the “average rating from participants was 3.7 out of 4 – an exceptional endorsement of Waves' high quality provision”. Examples of our current and recent programmes include:

  • Design and delivery of a suite of early help training across the whole children’s services partnership in Doncaster.
  • Design and delivery of a suite of safeguarding training from introduction to designated safeguarding officer for a large social enterprise.
  • Early help training for all professionals working with children and families across Knowsley: around 500 delegates in total. We worked in close partnership with Knowsley Council to develop the courses and all associated materials.
  • Outcomes training for 700 staff across Trafford, ensuring that a single outcomes definition is now used across the whole authority.
  • Team leader and supervisor training for 160 managers working across directorates in Cumbria County Council.

“Very enjoyable course with lots of information provided and opinions heard and answered effectively.”   Early help training delegate, Knowsley
